KATE RYAN MYSTERIES
WHAT’S GOING ON

Hey everyone!

Well She Waits has been out for four months and I’d like to thank all of you reading and giving me your feedback and your support. I received my first royalty check and was so excited I almost threw up! What fun!

When you visit my website, that a look at the reviews She Waits was given. I’ll tell you, the Tums factor was in full force before I read them!

The second in the Kate Ryan Mysteries, A Nice Clean Murder, is due out around Christmastime. It’s a merry romp of murder and mayhem in the rugged west of Ireland for Kate Ryan and her family! Be on the look out, and I’ll keep you posted.

Tales for the Holiday:
Well, it’s another season for Tales for the Holiday. I was thinking, and it didn’t hurt, of a new idea. I think you’ll like it.

For Halloween (boo!), I’m posting Away From The Dawn. It’s a vampire story with a twist. I’m not really into vamp stories, but Denise Winthrop (you’ll remember her, she and I wrote A Tall Tale, the Xena spoof); anyway this nut, er friend, challenged me and I like a dope, took the challenge and wrote this erotic, vampire tale. I don’t know how she gets me to do these things.

So tonight, Friday October 20th, I’m posting Away From the Dawn.

Now, here’s the fun part: I want you all to join me and chat about the story. On Sunday morning, October 29th starting around 9 am, CST, I’ll be available to chat with you on Koffee with Kate. Clever, huh? I can’t take credit for that, it was my webadmin, Kathleen. So, if you don’t like it, blame her. Seriously, I think it’s a great idea. And if I bug her enough, maybe I can get Denise, from Intaglio to join us.

Here’s how it works:
When the story goes up, we'll send an email letting you know it’s ready with a link to the chat room - there will also be a link on the main page. Sunday morning the 29th, we'll all meet there to discuss! I hope you enjoy the story and participate in the lively conversation on Sunday morning. Don’t forget the coffee!!

Something New!

Got a business you want to promote? How about that idea you’ve been thinking about for years? Here’s your chance to make it a reality.

Diane Mareci has a natural talent for marketing. Thank God, because she was instrumental when I needed to raise funds for the Gay Games last July. Now, she’s putting her talents out there so everyone can benefit.

Here’s how Diane explains it:
It’s a simple concept. I will work to put your product, concept or organization on the Same Side of the Fence as potential customers. Help me increase my database of people willing to look at your idea. It's through networking that relationships of the Same Side of the Fence are built.

For more information go to www.samesideofthefence.com  or contact Diane at 773-744- 0110

Take a look at her website. I’m already hooked!

Story of the Month

I received a request for The Wager last week. Thanks, ladichi! I’ll post the story this week.

The Wager is a funny tale: Andrea Wentworth is a woman about town. She loves her single life and has no intentions of giving it up. One night at the local club, she spies a redhead at the end of the bar.

A friend challenges Andie's seductive prowess and the bet is on! Andie is supremely confident on the prowl. However, the redheaded Nicki Madigan has something else in mind and suddenly, all bets are off!

Enjoy this Story of the Month! Post your opinion—you know I love to hear from you.

From the Author
Well, I can’t believe it has been a year since Kathy Smith at Intaglio decided to take a chance on She Waits. Now, with the second book A Nice Clean Murder coming out, I am truly dumbfounded.

With the holiday season, once again creeping up on us (I know, let’s not go there); I’m reminded of how fortunate I have been in my life. Kathy Smith and Denise Winthrop, along with Robin Alexander and the rest of the Intaglio family, have opened a door that I never knew existed. They may be sorry, but it’s too late!

I have also been blessed beyond telling, with friends and family. I include the members of my forum in this as well. You have shown great support for me and I appreciate it more than you know.

So, enough blathering! Enjoy the autumn season. Go pick some apples and get that pumpkin. Take a walk in the woods and count your blessings. I know I will.

Until next time ~~ Kate
